We were concerned about going here because of the low reviews and because the place was completely dead. Out original plan had been to go to Harry's and there was a 2 hour wait. The service was phenomenal and everyone was super-attentive, polite, and cheerful. The food was great, the beer was cold, and the milkshakes were amazing. Everyone on the wait staff was wearing a mask. We had a great time.

We shared a Mushroom Swiss Burger and it was DELISH!! Fries were super hot and fresh!! 10/10 on food for sure!! --5 Frozen margarita special was not good-diluted & tasteless. Bartender was super nice, we've been here several times and food/service is always GREAT!! Only negative was the margarita but not a big deal at all-I just won't order it again and will stick to Miller Lite!!

We went here for dinner one night and it was very fun. Downtown Lakeland was all decorated for lights. We sat outside and the waitress was very nice. The service was a little slow. The prices were good and the atmosphere was like an old diner really cool. We got the mint chocolate chip cookies cream shake, garlic parm wings, blue suede burger, regular burger, bandit o burger, and onion rings. It was all yummy and flavorful not to greasy either. Overall net little diner in Lakeland!

Stopped in for lunch while in the area. Super impressed with the BAD burger. Can’t go wrong with a fried egg on anything. Their cheese sticks are really great, and made in house. The fried have just the right amount of seasoning and the fried green tomato BLT was fire!!!!

Today was our 2nd visit for lunch and we ordered the Chefs Salad with turkey and ranch, the Cobb salad with blue cheese and blue cheese dressing, the Von Dutch Burger and a French Onion Soup(soup of the day). The soup was a rich and thick super flavorful soup. I think this is THE best French Onion soup I’ve ever had and would come back here just for the soup. The Von Dutch Burger with Gouda, bacon, apple slices, onion ring and onion slice. I ordered it medium and it was so tasty. The salads are served in a fresh fried tortilla bowl and both salads were sizable and very tasty. Our 1st visit, we rated The Chop Shop a 3 star, and today it earned 5 stars from us. The staff is nice, you order at the counter and they deliver to your table. This is definitely a nice place to dine and we will be back.

We had fried green tomatoes, and onion rings. Battered and fried fresh. Crunchy and tasty. We had the burger special which was 13.99 with drink and fries. Juicy and tasty. Also had the patty melt. Everything was good. This place exceeded my expectations. Parking is difficult because it's in the middle of downtown.

I was craving a burger and decided to stop at the chop shop. I saw it last time I was in Lakeland and they had their menu outside by the street and I said to myself, “I wanna try this” cuz the burgers looked so good and the place was packed. It was worth the wait. I ordered the blue suede burger and the von Dutch. Oh man! The blue suede was soooo good. The blue cheese they used was fresh and soft. It wasn’t dry and crumbly like most blue cheese tends to be. It was almost like a spread. It was absolutely delicious. Some of it fell off my burger and I used my fork to pick it up and eat it by itself. It was that good. The burger came stacked high with a huge fried onion ring with super crispy breading. Made to order, they were both cooked to perfection. The von Dutch was amazing also. Our waitress said these are two of the top selling burgers. The fries kind of remind me of a much higher end steak and shake fry. They were quite delicious. I ordered a sweet tea and my wife ordered a water without meals and the total was under 38. You can’t find two gourmet burgers anywhere for under 40. I actually can’t wait to go back cuz I wanna try the breakfast burgers looked that has egg and bacon on it. This place is awesome as you can see in my pics. Go here. I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed. And if you are, the problem is you. I’ll be back for certain.

This place is awesome! We were looking for a bar that had the March Madness games on and couldn't find one in this little town. Once we arrived at The Chop Shop, our waitress immediately got the games on for us and provided excellent service. The garlic parm wings are to die for! It was not super load and we had a great time with great food. I can't remember our servers name but she was on top of it the entire time we were there.
